What we offer

• Care certificate

  All staff working in clinical support roles who are new to the NHS will be required to complete the Care Certificate during their induction period to support them in providing high-quality care.

  The Care Certificate was introduced nationally in 2015 to raise standards, to raise the status of caring and to place emphasis on what matters most to service users.

  The Care Certificate can be included on your CV for future NHS job applications. It is proof that you are committed to working to best practice. It can also contribute to the completion of a higher level 2 or level 3 qualification.

  All of our staff who wish to start a clinical apprenticeship will need to have completed the Care Certificate.

• Clinical placements

  We work with 15 universities and we offer placements across our services in the following areas:

  • Children’s community nursing services – some specialist areas and health child programmes (health visiting and school nursing)
  • Some sexual health services
  • Adult nursing services (Luton only)
  • MSK physiotherapy (Cambridgeshire only)
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Dietetics and nutrition
  • Paediatric physiotherapy (Cambridgeshire only)
  • Audiology (Luton only)
  • Orthoptics (Luton only)
  • Support services 

• Feedback

  We welcome feedback from all our learners to celebrate success and learn how we can improve the clinical learning environment.

  Feedback is important at all times during a clinical placement, as if there are any issues we can offer support when it is needed. Students can give feedback by using the MS Forms QR code on the posters found in the bases.

  After each placement, learners will be sent an evaluation link to complete an MS Forms survey.  We will share feedback with services to celebrate their successes as well as to learn from challenges.
