Return to practice

As a Trust we support anyone wishing to return to practice after their registration has lapsed.

There can be many reasons why a healthcare professional chooses to leave their profession, but you can be supported back into the NHS workforce if you decide to return.

At Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS), we support allied health professionals, nurses, midwives and specialist community public health nurses to return to practice and re-join the HCPC or NMC registers and take up posts within the Trust.

If you are thinking about returning to practice, we encourage you to contact us to discuss why you left your profession and why you now wish to return. We will identify what your expectations are and discuss what the current healthcare environment is like, how the Trust works and how to navigate the process of returning to practice.

If you wish to test the water, we may be able to offer shadowing opportunities so that you can experience what the services are like now.

For further information, email us, including 'Return to Practice' in the subject line.
